It is with utmost respect I am humbling drawing your attention updating you with new events/elements following my letter dated 28th September, 2020, addressed to you and send to the head office at New York, and UNESCO Paris.
It is worth nothing that I later send through email and copied it to many recipients. The letter triggered events/situations which will briefly be elaborated here. I was hoping a negotiation-reconciliation deal could be reached for me to complete my studies as the current Rector of Université Libre de Bruxelles, Professor Annemie Schaus requested to meet with me on 27th October 2020. The meeting ended in fiasco. I was terribly intimidated and threatened by the Rector Professor, Annemie Schaus as she tried to protect and defend the professors I am accusing, leaving me terribly traumatized and sick. I am barely recovery. Of important, I am still blocked with my thesis. It is not our wish for this academic year to be wasted like the previous year without me defending my thesis.
I am therefore humbling respectfully requesting that your good offices should intervene urgently as a third party. At this junction, so that a promoter and correctors be assigned in order to enable me defend the thesis I was not allowed to defend on the 06th September 2019, which was rejected and graded 00/20. We should not allow this academic year to run to an end without me completing my studies in a more dignify manner.
For your information, during the meeting with the Rector, Professor Annemie Schaus on the 27th October 2020, I had let her know that, Professor Esteban Martinez, had clearly told me, I will never get the reason why the thesis was rejected, because the decision to reject the work came from the former Rector Prof. Yvon Englert. She refuted my claims, and stated that, she will read the work herself and let me know why it was rejected and assign a promoter for me and a college of professors to make sure the defence run smoothly. She equally, stated that she will investigate why the racial complaint against Prof. Viviane Vanne in 2017 had no decision till date. This was to be confirmed in an email summarising the meeting. It is shocking that, the email summarizing the meeting state otherwise. Enclosed is the summary of the meeting and my reaction. Hopefully the recording of the meeting will be at your disposal. I requested for it, as of now, no answer. It will not be good for this school year to be wasted as I am still blocked with my thesis. It is my wish to complete my studies. This is the reason, your urgent intervention is needed for me to be able to defend the work. As noted in the summary of the meeting, though the minutes somehow twisted, there’s the proposition from the rector that a new promoter will be assigned for the thesis. I humbly need your urgent help to intervene and monitor to ensure, there will be no intimidation. Thank you.
I call to your attention to the that, Ms. Estelle Daga (Jurist at Fédération des Etudiant.e.s Franchophones – FEF, Rue de la Bonne 14 bte 17 – 1080 Bruxelles, had called me and said, if I continue insisting on justice, she is afraid, at the level of FEF, no disciplinary sanction could be implemented or taken against the professors because the rector is implicated and they must protect the rector and the all professors implicated. Her advice was that, I should apologize to the rector and the professors which will enable me complete my studies. In her email of October 7th 2020, Ms. Estelle Daga, seeking to require if I have gotten a reply from your office, clearly reaffirmed her advice given to me over the phone by stating in the email, I quote Ms Estelle Daga: “We are sorry to learn about your situation…..Unfortunately, at FEF level, we can’t really help you.” Ms. Daga of FEF knows my case very well. It is terribly sad that FEF an external organs capable of intervening and implementing disciplinary sanctions, intentionally refused, because according to Ms Estelle Daga, they must protect the rector and all the professors, thereby victimizing me more and this is illegal factor. Ms. Daga of FEF is liable and should be held accountable. Enclosed find email exchanges with Ms. Estelle Daga.
I maintain that, I have been targeted and subjected to horrible treatments by racist professors in ULB, because I of the racial discrimination complaint against Professor Viviane Vanne in 2017 with no decision till date which is illegal. I prevail all through this horrible treatments, because as a serious students, one main aim is to succeed. My final work, thesis was rejected graded 00/20 and the notification stating the reasons and what I must do as correction was never issue even after numerous efforts as already mentioned in the complaint letter date 28th September 2020. The rector in the meeting of 27th October 2020 said she will let me know why and failed and this is illegal. There’s a good proposition for a new promoter to be assigned for me. I am humbly requesting your help as a mediator so that I could complete my studies. At the end hopefully justice will prevail.
